NFL coach calls CFB transfer players 'clowns'
Cousins is set to become a free agent after spending the last six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, and he has been frequently linked to the Falcons. Florio recently reported that the 35-year-old is "seriously considering moving his family to Atlanta" because his wife, Julie, grew up nearby in Alpharetta, Georgia and her parents still live there.
Cousins, who is recovering from a torn Achilles, could also be attracted to the bevy of talented skill position players that the Falcons have at their disposal. In addition to Pitts, running back Bijan Robinson and wide receiver Drake London are among the most promising young players in the league.
It remains to be seen how things will play out for Cousins, as free agency will officially begin in a week on March 13.
