NFL Exec Laughed When Marvin Harrison Jr. Asked If Anything Was Needed at His Pro Day

Marvin Harrison Jr.'s tape speaks for itself.

While the Ohio State wide receiver did not take part in on-field drills or physical testing during the NFL Scouting Combine, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reported Monday he met with nine different teams and went through medicals at the event.

"He actually did ask a couple teams if there's anything they'd need to see at his pro day in Columbus, Ohio, later this month," Breer wrote. "One I talked to laughed at the notion."

It's safe to say Harrison is still considered one of the top prospects in the upcoming draft even if he didn't participate in the headline-making events at the combine.

That is because he was essentially unstoppable during his time on the Buckeyes as a two-time All-American, Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, Heisman Trophy finalist and a Biletnikoff Award winner.

He finished this past season with 67 catches for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns despite being accompanied by less than stellar quarterback play compared to other top receiver prospects in Washington's Rome Odunze and LSU's Malik Nabers.

Harrison is the son of Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison, who was an eight-time Pro Bowler and dominant top option for Peyton Manning during his career on the Indianapolis Colts.

The younger Harrison proved with the Buckeyes he can come down with contested catches, beat defenders deep, high-point passes in the end zone and make plays after the catch. Living up to his father's legacy will be quite the task, but there is no questioning his talent ahead of the draft.

B/R's NFL Scouting Department ranks him as the No. 1 overall prospect in the entire draft, and it would be shocking if any receiver was taken before him in April.
