
T-Wolves' Anthony Edwards Leaves at Halftime vs. Kings Due to Birth Of Child
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards left his team's home game against the Sacramento Kings at halftime due to personal reasons.
Per Allen Stiles of Sactown Sports 1140, the Kings broadcast said that Edwards left to due to the birth of his child.
Timberwolves guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker began the second half in place of Edwards, who scored 11 points in 19 minutes before exiting.

Edwards, a two-time NBA All-Star, entered Friday's game averaging 26.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game for a 42-18 Timberwolves team that still sits atop the Western Conference standings despite a 124-120 overtime loss to Sacramento.
It's unclear if Edwards will miss any further games, but the Timberwolves' next contests are home matchups on Sunday and Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers, respectively. Minnesota then begins a six-game road trip on Thursday.
