Thomas Morstead Claps Back at 'Disgruntled' Mecole Hardman After Jets Criticism
After Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman criticized the New York Jets over his brief stint with the team, one of his former teammates didn't take too kindly to his comments.
Veteran punter Thomas Morstead took to social media to clap back at Hardman, who he called a "disgruntled former employee."

Morstead referenced Hardman losing his position as the Jets' primary punt returner and slot receiver to undrafted free agent Xavier Gipson. Hardman recorded just one catch in five games with New York before being traded back to Kansas City in October.
During an appearance on The Pivot, Hardman said there was "no standard" with the Jets offense under offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, especially after quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles four plays into the season.
Morstead led the league with 99 punts and 4,831 yards in 2023, so the Jets would be wise to re-sign him this offseason. After he came to the team's defense, he will be even more endearing to the New York fan base.
