Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes vs. The Rock and Roman Reigns
The hope for many members of the WWE Universe with the removal of Vince McMahon from the creative process was that booking would become more consistent and less sporadic. Unfortunately, the program featuring Cody Rhodes, The Rock and Reigns has been more convoluted than expected.
WWE has obviously pivoted from its original storyline ideas, but that could be good for the fans, who may be getting two high-profile matches instead of one.
Night 2's main event is almost certainly Rhodes vs. Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, but the two men could be pulling double duty.
After Elimination Chamber, Seth Rollins and Rhodes squaring off against The Rock and Reigns is a best-case scenario. Not only does it give Rollins the rub of working with two talented performers, but it also provides The Rock the chance to work a multi-man match that won't expose his lack of in-ring time over recent years.
Booking the tag team match gives the fans what they want, with The Rock getting a spot on the WrestleMania 40 card while ensuring Rhodes finishes his story, as the vast majority of the WWE Universe wants to witness.
Randy Orton vs. Logan Paul vs. Kevin Owens
Most wrestling fans agree that the sport is better when storylines progress from show to show, ultimately culminating in a blowoff match at a marquee event.
At Elimination Chamber, the groundwork was set for a big-name Triple Threat match for the United States Championship.
At WrestleMania, look for Logan Paul to defend the title against both Randy Orton and Kevin Owens.
The YouTuber and KO have been embroiled in a personal war of words that spilled over into the men's Chamber match, but The Viper has injected himself into the mix with a well-placed RKO.
WrestleMania 40 is missing several key pieces, such as CM Punk, John Cena and other stalwarts, but booking a three-way dance for the U.S. title with the bona fide star power that Paul, Orton and Owens bring would add depth to the two-day card.
Letting Owens and Orton do the heavy lifting while Paul hits his high spots would make for the most entertaining use of the social media star.
LA Knight vs. AJ Styles
Over the last year, LA Knight has become one of the most popular Superstars in WWE, reaching new levels thanks to his quick wit, sharp tongue and memorable catchphrases.
At WrestleMania, AJ Styles will push his in-ring ability to the limit.
Knight has never been known as an in-ring technician, but that won't matter in Philadelphia. Styles is one of the greatest wrestlers ever and has been known to take even the greenest talent and carry them to memorable contests.
At Lincoln Financial Field, Knight and Styles will have the Philadelphia crowd split, with both men hearing cheers. The in-ring work should have the fans on the edge of their seat, and The Phenomenal One will likely do the right thing and put over The Megastar.
Knight beating a bona fide legend like Styles would cement his spot at the top of the men's division.
