Video: Jimmy Butler Among Players Ejected for Fight Between Heat, Pelicans
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler was one of four players ejected following a fight during Friday night's game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Heat center Thomas Bryant was also ejected, as were Jose Alvarado and Naji Marshall of the Pelicans.
The altercation started after Heat forward Kevin Love shoved the Pelicans' Zion Williamson to the court with around 11 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
As Love was whistled for a foul, Marshall ran forward to contest the shove. Other members of both teams quickly followed.
Butler and Marshall began arguing. After Butler shoved him, Marshall appeared to wrap a hand around Butler's throat.
Butler and Marshall were then separated by officials, teammates and coaches.
As the initial scuffle faded, Alvarado and Bryant began shoving at one another, sparking a second scrum.
All four players were eventually ejected from the game.
Williamson received two free throws from the play.
The Heat were leading by four points at the time of the altercation.
Butler was leading the team with 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including 8-of-12 on free throws, prior to his ejection. He added nine rebounds and six assists in 27 minutes played.
