Dolphins' Jalen Ramsey Appears to Rip Vic Fangio amid Xavien Howard Release Rumors
Jalen Ramsey isn't happy with the Miami Dolphins' reported decision to release cornerback Xavien Howard.
In a post on X, Ramsey wrote that he believes Howard is the greatest cornerback in Dolphins history and that it was an honor taking the field with him. However, that's not what caught the attention of football fans.
At the end of his post, Ramsey appeared to take a shot at former defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, writing, "I won't ever forgive dude for not utilizing our full skillset!"

1 Prospect Each Team Must Avoid in 2026 NFL Draft
Ramsey was able to team up with Howard in the Miami secondary last season after being traded to the Dolphins from the Los Angeles Rams.
They performed well alongside each other, though it appears Ramsey believes Fangio was holding them back from reaching their full potential as a duo.
Ramsey finished the season having posted three interceptions, five pass breakups and 22 tackles in 10 games. He played 95 percent of defensive snaps when healthy.
Howard appeared in 13 games, posting one interception, 12 pass breakups and 45 tackles. He played 88 percent of defensive snaps, the lowest mark of his eight-year career in Miami.
In Fangio's lone season as defensive coordinator in Miami, the Dolphins ranked 15th in the NFL in passing defense, allowing 221.2 yards per game. The rushing defense ranked seventh in the league, allowing 97.1 yards per game on the ground.
Miami also ranked third in the league in sacks (56) and tied for eighth in forced turnovers (27).
The Dolphins and Fangio mutually agreed to part ways after the 2023 season and Anthony Weaver was named his replacement.
While Howard is set to become a free agent, he is expected to generate "significant interest" on the free-agent market, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
The Dolphins, meanwhile will continue to rely on Ramsey in the secondary in 2024. It's unclear how they intend to replace Howard.
