The Usos Dream WrestleMania Match Is Here, Heating Up a Cold Star, More WWE Raw Takes

The February 19 edition of WWE Raw was an important go-home show for Elimination Chamber as it set the final pieces for Saturday's premium live event.

Jey Uso hoped to be the talk of the week by dethroning Gunther. But Jimmy Uso cost him the Intercontinental Championship, pushing Jey further toward finally fighting his brother.

Raquel Rodriguez made her return to the ring and qualified for the women's Elimination Chamber match. This sets up Liv Morgan and Rodriguez to reunite if they do not win at the weekend.

With Gunther successfully defending his gold again, he needs a serious challenger for WrestleMania 40. It could be Chad Gable, who picked up an important win over Ivar.

Andrade continues to tell the story of his WWE return slowly. He has promised to set his new path soon, but that may not come together until after The Show of Shows.

Raw delivered some big moments on Monday that will be important to reflect upon in the coming months.

Jimmy Uso Can Elevate Himself to Jey's Level at WrestleMania

WWE set the stage for a battle of brothers back at SummerSlam 2023 when Jimmy Uso cost Jey Uso the Universal Championship and the title of Tribal Chief.

Since then, Jimmy has also set up Jey to lose the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships and now the intercontinental title.

This has to be enough for Jey to stand up to Jimmy, setting up the WrestleMania match both men have always wanted.

In the past year since The Usos main-evented WrestleMania 39, Jey has passed his brother in terms of popularity and success, even if Jimmy has stopped him from winning gold.

Jimmy has played a support role for Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, and he's barely allowed to stand out on his own.

The ratings came out for WWE 2K24, heavily favoring Jey over his brother.

This match at WrestleMania needs to be Jimmy's moment. This is a chance for him to show he can match his brother in the ring, working the top contest both men have prepared for since they both started wrestling.

Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan Must Reunite

It is great to see Raquel Rodriguez back in a WWE ring. Her absence was felt on a Raw women's roster that needed more top stars.

She is also a great addition to the women's Elimination Chamber match, adding even more legitimacy to the stacked contest.

However, there is no way that she will win. Becky Lynch is still the clear WrestleMania opponent for Rhea Ripley.

This leaves top stars like Rodriguez, Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair without a clear direction for The Show of Shows. WWE can quickly rectify that by bringing Rodriguez and Morgan back together.

They are two-time women's tag team champions who lost the gold both times due to injury. They would be worthy challengers for Asuka and Kairi Sane at 'Mania, and no other clear answers stand out for the women's tag division.

Andrade Must Be a Priority After WrestleMania

Andrade has been back in WWE since the Royal Rumble but has yet to appear live on air since then.

This slow build could be useful if there is no plan for El Idolo at WrestleMania on April 6-7, which seems likely.

While it would be disappointing for him to stay off television until after WrestleMania, this could allow WWE to introduce him with major hype as a big reset.

The 34-year-old is one of the best wrestlers in the world today. He has capitalized on his momentum from leaving All Elite Wrestling to feel like a bigger star than ever before. This is a man who could be a main event act and champion in 2024.

WWE should push him big after 'Mania. He could be the first challenger to the new intercontinental champion if Gunther loses the title to someone like Chad Gable or Sami Zayn.

He could even challenge the world champion of Raw or SmackDown, especially if someone like Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre or Damian Priest is holding the gold.

These options are all exciting, but what matters is that WWE does not take it too slow with El Idolo post-WrestleMania.

WWE Has Uphill Climb to Revive Chad Gable For WrestleMania

Who will challenge Gunther on The Grandest Stage of Them All? Few stories are as unclear on the Road to WrestleMania as The Ring General's future.

Gunther has defeated most of the WWE roster as intercontinental champion. If WWE went with a repeat challenger, Chad Gable is one of the most exciting options.

WWE understands this as the two men continue to wrestle on the house-show circuit. In fact, the Alpha Academy leader defeated the Austrian at a house show on February 18.

However, while the Olympian was a legitimate challenger for Gunther in August, when he almost defeated The Ring General, that is no longer true.

Gunther has dominated multiple challengers since his match with Gable. Meanwhile, the Alpha Academy leader has barely appeared on television, and he has lost against midcard names.

If the plan is for Gable to get one last chance against Gunther, WWE must do serious work to build him up over more established names such as Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, LA Knight or Randy Orton.

This is a match that fans will want to see, but no one is going to believe Gable can win in his current role, especially ending the longest Intercontinental Championship run in history.
