Video: Patrick Beverley Shades 76ers, Says Bucks More Focused on Winning Than Stats
It's probably safe to say that Patrick Beverley is happy with his move from Philadelphia to Milwaukee.
Beverley, who was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks from the Philadelphia 76ers at the NBA's Feb. 8 deadline, shaded his former team while speaking on his Pat Bev Podcast this week, indicating that his current team has more of a winning mindset.
"I talked to Tobias [Harris] on the phone. He's like, 'Yo, what's the biggest difference?' I'm like, 'Everybody wants to win. Everybody wants to win.' Everybody wants to win. It's not about stats. It's not about numbers here. It's not about who gets the ball. Everybody here wants to win."
Beverley began the 2023-24 campaign with the Sixers, agreeing to a one-year contract to team up with the likes of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey in hopes of winning an NBA title.
Philadelphia had been largely competitive with the Bucks and Boston Celtics for the top seed in the Eastern Conference during Beverley's short tenure, but Joel Embiid's knee injury and subsequent surgery now has the team just hoping to stay afloat in the standings.
The Bucks, meanwhile, sit third in the East with a 35-21 record, though they have struggled since Doc Rivers took over as head coach, going 3-7 in their last 10 games.
