Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes on Andy Reid: 'I Believe He's the Greatest Coach of All Time'

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had quite the praise for his head coach Andy Reid.

Following the Chiefs 25-22 overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, Mahomes referred to Reid as "the greatest coach of all time" and noted that he "wouldn't be a three-time champion without Reid."

"The way he is able to navigate every single team he has. Continues to have success wherever he is at," Mahomes said. "...I don't think I'd be the quarterback that I am if I didn't have coach Reid being my head coach."

Reid's legacy has grown quite a bit in recent seasons. Sunday's Super Bowl win was his third in his career. This was also his fifth overall Super Bowl appearance, fourth with the Chiefs, and he now has a 3-2 record in the big game.

The Chiefs became the first team to repeat as Super Bowl champions since the 2003 and 2004 New England Patriots and Reid now moves to third all-time in Super Bowl wins for coaches. He is tied with Joe Gibbs and Bill Walsh with three all-time wins and sits behind Chuck Noll (four) and Bill Belichick (six) in the category.

He also has 258-144-1 overall regular season record as a head coach and a 128-51 record as the Chiefs head coach. His 258 wins is fourth all-time in NFL history.

This all shows that Reid is undeniably among the elite in NFL history, and Mahomes' praise is pretty justified.
