Video: NFL Legend Rob Gronkowski Misses 'Kick of Destiny' Ahead of Super Bowl 58

Erin WalshFeb 11, 2024

Rob Gronkowski missed his chance at redemption, and it ultimately cost Super Bowl bettors.

The former NFL tight end missed a 25-yard field goal attempt, known as the "Kick of Destiny," ahead of Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas, hooking it wide right.

Gronkowski's field goal attempt was a part of FanDuel's "Kick of Destiny" campaign. Any FanDuel user who placed a bet on him to miss the kick will take home a share of $10 million in free bets.

Gronkowski also attempted a 25-yard field goal ahead of Super Bowl 57 as part of the campaign and sent the ball wide left.

Luckily for Gronkowski, there's likely not many more field goal attempts in his future. However, maybe he'll try it again next year, after all, third times a charm.
