Patrick Mahomes fired up his Kansas City Chiefs teammates with a pregame speech ahead of the team's matchup with the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58.

"This is out moment," Mahomes said. "Everything we've been through is for this f--king moment. Everything you got, every single play, and let's find a way to win a football game."

The 28-year-old will be making his fourth Super Bowl appearance and attempt to win the third championship of his career on Sunday, capping off another impressive season that resulted in his sixth consecutive Pro Bowl selection.

Although the Chiefs finished with the No. 3 seed in the AFC, a disappointing result relative to the team's recent history, Mahomes still led Kansas City to its sixth straight conference championship game before taking down the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens on the road.

The former first-round pick was dominant throughout each of the Chiefs' three playoff wins, throwing for 718 total yards and four touchdowns without an interception. He's also punished opposing defenses with his legs, picking up 75 yards on 14 rush attempts during the postseason.

Prior to Kansas City's victory over Baltimore to punch its ticket to the Super Bowl, Mahomes delivered another impassioned speech.

The Chiefs will be hoping to achieve a similar result, although they'll need to overcome another tough defense in order to do so. The 49ers allowed just 17.5 points per game in the regular season, the No. 3 mark in the NFL.

They also gave up the third-fewest rushing yards in the league each week, meaning that Mahomes will likely need to deliver a heroic performance against San Francisco's secondary in order to earn a victory on Sunday.
