Report: Raiders' Davante Adams Won't Be Punished by NFL for Shoving Photographer

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has been informed by the NFL that he won't face any discipline for shoving a photographer following a game against the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

A league probe into the incident has remained open, although a misdemeanor assault charge was dismissed by prosecutors in June 2023. The photographer, Park Zebley, initially alleged that he feared for his life and suffered concussion symptoms due to the incident.

Adams, who finished the game with 124 receiving yards and two touchdowns, apologized during his postgame news conference.

"Before I say anything, I want to apologize to the guy running off the field and he ran and jumped in front of me," Adams said, per Grant Gordon of NFL.com. "I'm coming off the field and I bumped into him and pushed him. I think he ended up on the ground, so I want to say sorry to him because that was just frustration mixed with him running in front of me and I shouldn't have responded that way and that's how I initially responded."

Zebley also filed a lawsuit against the 31-year-old as well as the Raiders and Chiefs organizations, with the trial currently set for the summer (per Charean Williams of ProFootballTalk).

"I'm looking for justice," Zebley said in a statement through his attorney, according to USA Today's Safid Deen. "You can't shove someone down and walk off like it didn't happen. Not in real life."

Adams' production dipped slightly in 2023, although he was still able to record 103 receptions for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns. The Raiders finished with a record of 8-9, failing to make the postseason for the second year in a row.
