Stephon Gilmore Says He Wants to Return to Cowboys in 2024 NFL FA: 'That's the Goal'
After his first season in Dallas in 2023, cornerback Stephon Gilmore is looking to return to the Cowboys next season.
While speaking on 96.7 The Ticket, Gilmore said he is looking to sign another deal with the Cowboys in free agency.
"I want to come back," Gilmore said. "We can't talk until March. But that's the goal, because I think we do have the pieces to get to where we want to go, and I want to be part of that."

Last season, Gilmore, 33, was on the second year of a two-year, $20 million contract he signed while playing for the Indianapolis Colts. Gilmore was traded to Dallas in March of last year. Gilmore will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In his 12th NFL campaign last season, Gilmore notched a career-high 68 tackles, also picking up a pair of interceptions and 13 pass deflections. While Gilmore is in the latter stages of his career now, his production has not taken a hit.
He helped lead the Cowboys' defense to allowing just 18.5 points per game and limiting opponents to 317.1 yards per game.
Now, Gilmore is looking to come back to Dallas and help the Cowboys bounce back from a disappointing finish. Despite a 12-5 season where the Cowboys seemed poised for a big playoff run all year, they faced an upset loss to the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round.
Dallas has not reached the NFC Championship game since 1995 when the Cowboys won the Super Bowl, but if key players like Gilmore choose to come back during free agency, they could be gearing up for a big season.
