Luka Dončić Astounds NBA Fans as Mavs Beat Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle-Less Knicks

Playing in front of a star-studded crowd at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Dončić put on a show.

Dončić dropped 39 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds and four steals to lead the Mavs to a 122-108 win over a depleted New York Knicks team. It was Dallas' third straight victory.

Dončić shot an efficient 13-of-24 from the field and made seven of his 14 three-pointers. The Knicks refused to go down quietly despite playing without their All-Stars Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle, but Dončić took the game over late to seal the win.

The Knicks got a strong performance out of Donte DiVincenzo, who scored 36 points and also made seven three-pointers. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to outduel Dončić, who looked like he was having some fun talking trash to celebrity Knicks fans like Spike Lee.

Fans on social media were left in awe after another dazzling performance by Dončić:

The Mavs quietly improved their roster at the NBA trade deadline on Thursday, and they continue to get healthy at the perfect time. If Dončić continues playing this way, he is undoubtedly among the frontrunners for NBA MVP.

The Mavs (29-23) will look to keep the momentum going when they return home to face the Oklahoma City Thunder (35-16) on Saturday.
