Eagles' Jason Kelce Says 'All the Players' Like New Format for NFL Pro Bowl Games

It's safe to count Jason Kelce among those who approve of the new Pro Bowl format.

The Philadelphia Eagles' longtime center told his brother and Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce on Thursday's episode of the New Heights podcast, presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment, that he enjoyed the 2024 Pro Bowl Games, which culminated in a 64-59 win for the NFC.

"I loved it, and I think more importantly, all the players like it as well," Kelce said around the 41-minute mark.

The NFC dominated the skills competition before holding on in a back-and-forth flag football game, which drew rave reviews from fans. In addition to playing in the game, Kelce competed in the "Snapshot" long-snapping drill and participated in the Gridiron Gauntlet.

"If the people on the field are having fun, the audience is having fun, and I think it was evident throughout the week that guys really enjoyed doing the different games and activities," Kelce said. "It's something new. It's still a competition but it's not too serious, so guys are having fun."

It was the seventh Pro Bowl selection of Kelce's storied career in Philadelphia. His brother was also selected to the showcase for the ninth straight year, but he's gearing up to lead the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.

There's a chance that this was Kelce's final Pro Bowl, as there was speculation after the Eagles' playoff loss that he was ending his NFL career even though he has yet to officially announce his retirement. Still, he believes the Pro Bowl has a bright future under the new format.

"They've done a good job of incorporating all that stuff, and I think it's only gonna get better as they continue to do it in future years and come up with new things," he said. "I really had fun."
