Brothers left the game in the middle of the third quarter after the Timberwolves unsuccessfully challenged an Anthony Edwards shooting foul on Bulls star DeMar DeRozan.

CJ Washington and Che Flores officiated the remainder of the game by themselves. That duo oversaw a wild finish, as the Bulls overcame a 23-point deficit to force overtime before earning the six-point win.

The 59-year-old Brothers is in his 30th year as an NBA official. He has called 187 playoff games, including 16 NBA Finals games. His first NBA Finals assignment was in 2012, when LeBron James' Miami Heat defeated Kevin Durant's Oklahoma City Thunder.
