'Mbappé Out' Petition Gaining Steam 😳
TLDR: Because FIFA isn't paid by American stadium sponsors, every stadium will have to change its name to 'City/Region Stadium' for the World Cup.
Example: Gillette Stadium will become 'Boston Stadium,' even though it's not in Boston.
More:
- Santa Clara's Levi Stadium will become 'San Francisco Bay Area Stadium'
- Arlington's AT&T Stadium will become 'Dallas Stadium,' which locals think is Arlington erasure
- And, strangest, MetLife Stadium will become 'New York New Jersey Stadium'
(The New York New Jersey fun facts are the best part.)
