NFL Draft 2024 Rumors: Malik Nabers Ranked over Marvin Harrison Jr. by Several Scouts
Although former Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is widely recognized as one of the top players in the 2024 NFL draft class, some scouts have reportedly preferred LSU wideout Malik Nabers as an alternative.
ESPN's Matt Miller explained on Monday why he believes that Nabers shouldn't be viewed as a "consolation prize" for a team that misses out on drafting Harrison Jr. at the top of the first round.
"In fact, three NFL scouts I spoke to at the Senior Bowl told me they actually have Nabers ranked ahead of Harrison on their initial draft boards," wrote Miller.

The 20-year-old improved his production in each season with LSU, culminating in a stellar 2023 campaign. In 13 games, Nabers reeled in 89 receptions for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department also has a favorable view of Nabers as a prospect, ranking him as the No. 2 wide receiver in the 2024 class behind Harrison Jr. on the latest big board.
Nabers earned an impressive grade of 8.7, with B/R NFL Scout Derrik Klassen explaining that "his combination of speed, quickness and yards-after-the-catch skills will translate into explosive plays right away."
It's also worth noting that LSU's wide receivers have often translated their game to the professional level with ease. Some examples over the past decade include Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, Odell Beckham Jr., and Jarvis Landry.
