49ers HC: Mahomes 'a Barry Sanders Highlight Reel'; Travis Kelce Has NFL's Best Hands
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan knows his team will be facing a difficult challenge when it faces the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday.
While speaking to NBC Sports' Peter King, Shanahan had a ton of praise for Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
"With Patrick," Shanahan said, "it's about the way he creates, the time he buys, the way he throws so fluidly, so confidently, from all platforms. Every game he's like a Barry Sanders highlight reel. And [Travis] Kelce, I know he's had a couple of drops, but to me he's got the best hands in football. Their chemistry is so great."

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
Mahomes and Kelce became the most prolific tandem in NFL playoff history earlier this postseason when they broke Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski's record for most playoff touchdowns by a quarterback-receiver duo.
Stopping Mahomes and Kelce will be the top priority for San Francisco's defense on Sunday. When the 49ers lost to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV five years ago, Kelce recorded six catches for 43 yards and a touchdown to help lead Kansas City to a 31-20 win.
It will be interesting to see what Shanahan comes up with to stifle Kelce and Mahomes this time around.
