LeBron James Electrifies NBA Fans as Lakers End Jalen Brunson, Knicks' Win Streak
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers snapped the New York Knicks' nine-game winning streak on Saturday night, winning by the final score of 113-105.
James got into a shooting rhythm early, as he relied on his mid-range jumper throughout the night. He finished with 24 points, five rebounds, and five assists while connecting on 10 of his 19 field goals which included a 2-5 mark from three.
Anthony Davis was dominant defensively, picking up four blocks and a steal in addition to his game-high 18 rebounds. He protected the paint well, as the Knicks shot just 41 percent from the field as a team.
Austin Reaves delivered several clutch shots to keep New York at bay late in the fourth quarter, scoring 22 points and dishing out seven assists in his 39 minutes of action.
However, James stole the show as he flourished once again under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden. NBA fans were amazed by his performance on both ends of the court.
Jalen Brunson battled through extra defensive attention to drop 36 points, six rebounds, and 10 assists on 48.4 percent shooting. However, New York's lack of a consistent tertiary offensive option was evident as Donte DiVincenzo was the only other Knick to score more than 12 points.
The Lakers are now back over .500 following the win, sitting at 26-25.
