Tom Flacco, Joe's Brother, Agrees to Contract With UFL's San Antonio Brahmas

Joe Flacco's younger brother is heading to the new UFL, the joint league created after the merger between the USFL and XFL.

The league announced Wednesday that Tom Flacco is signing with the San Antonio Brahmas:

The UFL will begin play in March 2024.

Flacco, 29, played for Western Michigan (2015-16), Rutgers (2017) and Towson (2018-19) in his college career. He barely played for Western Michigan (188 yards, one touchdown) and didn't register was ineligible to play for Rutgers in his lone season as a transfer at the school before throwing for 6,068 yards, 49 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in two seasons with Towson.

He then played for the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders (2021) and Ottawa Redblacks (2021-22) and the XFL's Houston Roughnecks (2024).

He also took a detour from playing in 2022, serving as a volunteer assistant coach working with the offense for the Delaware Blue Hens.

He also briefly flirted with a baseball career. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 32nd round of the 2014 MLB draft, though he chose to pursue football. He also played baseball during his time at Towson.

As for his latest team, the Brahmas have been in the news after signing kicker Donald De La Haye, better known as popular YouTuber Deestroying.

De La Haye had a brief playing career at UCF before the NCAA caught wind of his YouTube channel in 2015 and the money he was making off of it. Rather than give up the channel to maintain his eligibility—this was before players could make money off their name, image and likeness rights—he quit college football.

He also briefly appeared in the CFL in 2019 for the Toronto Argonauts.
