Cowboys' Micah Parsons Responds to Skip Bayless: I Never Asked You to Hype Me Up
Fox Sports' Skip Bayless was once again a subject of scorn from Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons.
On his show The Edge with Micah Parsons, the three-time Pro Bowler said Bayless is among the personalities who "talk so crazy" and told the longtime media voice directly, "I never once asked you to hype me up."
Bayless has never been shy about criticizing the Cowboys. At this point, he has probably thrown thousands of dollars worth of Dallas gear in the trash can out of frustration.
After the team lost 48-32 to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC divisional round, he spoke derisively about Parsons and said the elite edge-rusher "is just not that dude."
Parsons responded on X, formerly known as Twitter (warning: post contains profanity):
The war of words wasn't over, with Bayless saying on his podcast the 24-year-old is doing "too much, too soon" with his burgeoning media career (via Awful Announcing's Sam Neumann).
"My question has been from the start, Micah: Do you want to be a commentator or a game-wrecker because you cart before horse?" he said. "First, you game-wreck. First, you establish your Hall of Fame career path. First, maybe you win one ring, then you can podcast, then you can make commercials, and then you can be whatever you want to be."
Considering Parsons had 14 sacks and is a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year, his podcast certainly didn't seem to affect his performance on the field. And based on his comments Wednesday, it doesn't sound like he's putting the microphone down anytime soon.
