Timberwolves' Karl-Anthony Towns Revealed as Cover Star for NBA Infinite Video Game

Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns was named the cover athlete for the upcoming nonstop PvP mobile basketball game NBA Infinite on Wednesday.

The game, which will launch on mobile devices Feb. 17, comes from Lightspeed Studios and Level Infinite.

"To be the icon athlete for NBA Infinite is such a great honor," Towns said in a statement. "The game is fun, exciting and much like myself, very competitive."

Towns is joined by Sacramento Kings' De'Aaron Fox, Toronto Raptors' RJ Barrett, Philadelphia 76ers' Tobias Harris, Golden State Warriors' Andrew Wiggins and Boston Celtics' Jrue Holiday as brand ambassadors for the free-to-play game. Veteran NBA announcer Mark Jones will provide play-by-play.

NBA Infinite will feature 5 vs. 5, 3 vs. 3 and 1 vs. 1 matchups and also feature modes like Three-Point Contest and Triple Threat. You will be able to compete with and against friends to build your team and also go solo to reign supreme on the hardwood.

More than 2.5 million people have already pre-registered for the launch of the game next month.
