Chiefs' Travis Kelce Won't Attend Grammys with Taylor Swift Ahead of Super Bowl 58

Erin WalshJan 30, 2024

Travis Kelce is Taylor Swift's biggest supporter, but it appears the Kansas City Chiefs tight end won't be in attendance for the biggest night in music on Feb. 4.

Kelce will be arriving in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII this weekend when the Grammys occur and therefore will not be in attendance alongside Swift.

"I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she's nominated for, but… unfortunately, I gotta get ready for this big old Super Bowl, and we got a week," Kelce said on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday (h/t Rolling Stone).

Swift is up for six awards at this year's Grammys—Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop/Duo Group Performance.

While rumors also popped up stating that Swift would be performing at the Grammys, Johnni Macke of US Weekly reported Monday that she will not be performing.

Kelce and the Chiefs are hoping to become the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since the New England Patriots during the 2003 and 2004 seasons.

While Kelce won't make the Grammys, Swift could be in attendance to support the two-time Super Bowl champion on Feb. 11 as her Eras Tour in Japan runs from Feb. 8 through Feb. 10. Japan is also 17 hours ahead of Las Vegas, which gives Swift plenty of time to hop on a flight to the Super Bowl.
