A fact that might be lost in all of her other accomplishments: Caitlin Clark is closing in on Pete Maravich's legendary record.
Numbers:
- Clark is currently sixth on the men's/women's NCAA Division I scoring list (3,389), 279 points from passing Pete Maravich for No. 1 (3,667)
- She has 9 regular-season games left, plus the conference tournament, plus the NCAA tournament
- So, with a minimum of 11 games left, she has to average 25.3 PPG to do it
It's basically a lock ... because she's averaging 32 PPG while shooting 40.7% from 3 on 13.1 attempts per game.
