New Report on Colts-Richardson Situation
San Francisco's 17-point comeback was tied for the largest in the history of the NFC title game.
Now it's on to the Super Bowl, where Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs await the Niners. Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Andy Reid will be going for their third title in the past five seasons, while San Francisco is looking to end a title drought that dates back to 1994.
The Niners are 0-2 in the Super Bowl since that time, including a loss to Mahomes and Kansas City in the culmination of the 2019 season. Kyle Shanahan's group is out for revenge, though falling into a 24-7 hole against the Chiefs—which the Niners did on Sunday against the Lions—isn't a recipe for success.
