Video: George Kittle Channels Viral Meme After 49ers' Historic Rally vs. Lions

Some might say the San Francisco 49ers' NFC Championship comeback win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday night was like a movie.

To 49ers tight end George Kittle, it was more like a meme.

"They had us in the first half, not gonna lie," Kittle told the crowd at Levi's Stadium after the 34-31 victory.

"But, here we are now," Kittle concluded. "Let's go, faithful. We're back, baby!"

Three Lions touchdowns and a field goal had the 49ers staring down a 17-point deficit at halftime.

Then the 49ers rallied by scoring 27 straight points to take the lead in the second half, tying the record for the largest comeback in the history of the NFC Championship.

Kittle made a catch during the game-tying drive in the third quarter. He ended the game with two catches on three targets for 27 yards.

When the 49ers last faced the Chiefs in a championship game, it was the other team with the comeback. Kansas City finished out Super Bowl LIV with three touchdowns in the final seven minutes to overwhelm the Niners.

At the end of that loss, Kittle, while recorded by an Inside the NFL mic, that he would be back in the Super Bowl.

Thanks to a comeback that made NFC history, that promise has now come true.
