Super Bowl Odds 2024: Early Payout Breakdown and Over/Under Breakdown
The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs will play in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in Super Bowl LVIII.
The Niners defeated a hungry Detroit Lions team 34-31 in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday evening, while the Chiefs punched their ticket to their fourth Super Bowl in the last six years by way of their 17-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens.
The showdown is a rematch of the 2021 game, where Kansas City came from behind to beat the 49ers 31-20.
The Chiefs will be looking to become the first team to win back-to-back Super Bowls since the New England Patriots accomplished the feat in 2003 and 2004.
Ahead of the clash for professional football's most prestigious prize, the Lombardi Trophy, these are the early odds, moneyline and spread for the big game.

The Kansas City defense held an explosive Ravens offense to 10 points Sunday in Baltimore. They finished second in the NFL in points allowed this season and completely shut down one of the league's most explosive offenses, thanks to a well-executed game plan from defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.
The 49ers ranked third in points allowed in the regular season. They gave up 31 in the NFC Championship Game to Detroit but have the playmakers on that side of the ball to shut down any team at any time.
There will be plenty of big-time playmakers on the field in Super Bowl LVIII, all with the potential to break a big play and find the end zone, but do not be surprised if the game ends up being one of the lower-scoring in recent memory.
Two of the last three Super Bowls have failed to have a point total higher than the 47.5 oddsmakers have placed on this game, and it is a safe bet that, with the defenses involved and the sometimes inconsistent offenses, this year's game will struggle to as well.

The early odds for the game are about as even as it gets.
The 49ers open as a one-point favorite over the Chiefs, the slightest of margins, suggesting oddsmakers believe the two teams to be as evenly matched as possible. It is not difficult to see why, either.
Both possess quality offenses, even better defenses and head coaches who have been in Super Bowls before. Kansas City has the best tight end in the game in Travis Kelce and San Francisco has All-Pro Greg Kittle, who is just behind him on the list of best in the sport.
The Niners have the slight edge at running back with Christian McCaffrey, but Isiah Pacheco has run hard and mean in these playoffs and has as much to do with the Chiefs' success as anyone.
The difference is at quarterback, where the Niners enter the game with second-year man Brock Purdy, former Mr. Irrelevant. He showed up and showed out in the NFC Championship Game, guiding his team back from a 17-point deficit to win, and is a legitimate MVP candidate.
He has exhibited some bad tendencies, though, which have led to questions about his ability to win his team a Lombardi Trophy. The guy across the field has not.
There is not much left to say about Patrick Mahomes, who will be playing in his fourth Super Bowl in six years, with a chance to win his third ring. He has repeatedly proved an ability to play at the highest level when it counts the most, as seen by his extraordinary game-sealing pass to Marquez Valdes-Scantling on Sunday against Baltimore.
Bettors should trust Mahomes more than his opponent, but oddsmakers still slightly prefer the Niners.
Perhaps they are enamored with all of the recognizable names on the NFC squad's roster rather than the blue-collar defenders who helped get Kansas City back to the grand stage.
Whatever the case, the early lines have the Super Bowl LVIII match-up as essentially a toss-up.
