WWE News: WWE Officials Down to Two Match Finishes for the Rock vs. John Cena

The epic encounter between The Rock and John Cena at WrestleMania 28 is still roughly three months away, but it’s never too early to talk about a match of this magnitude. 

In fact, we fans have been debating for the better part of a year now what the outcome of The Rock vs. Cena will be, with most of us assuming that Cena will go over. 

We’ll have to wait until WrestleMania to find out for sure, but WWE officials apparently have narrowed down their options.

WWE officials are in the process of deciding the finish of the John Cena vs. The Rock match at WrestleMania. As of this weekend, the finish has been narrowed down to two potential scenarios. 

"

To be honest, I really have no idea what the two potential finishes to one of the most anticipated matches in wrestling history may be. 

The optimistic part of me wants to believe that those two scenarios are these: Either Cena cheats to win, or The Rock wins, causing Cena to snap. The end result in both scenarios would be a Cena heel turn. 

But the pessimistic, or perhaps smart, side of me is almost certain that one of those scenarios is a clean win for Cena. I’d hate to see The Rock come in and lose to an Attitude Adjustment or tap out to the STF, but—let’s be honest—there’s more than a solid chance that will happen. 

What’s interesting, though, is that second scenario, which is basically up in the air. 

What if The Rock gets the itch to wrestle again after WrestleMania? Does the WWE take that into consideration and book some sort of finish that leads to Rock vs. Cena: Part II? 

I don’t even have a clue what the creative team’s mindset is or will be, but that’s precisely why I’m so excited to see what is sure to be one heck of a WrestleMania match between two of the biggest stars of all-time.
