NFL Rumors: Panthers' Ejiro Evero to Have 2nd Seahawks HC Interview amid Quinn Buzz
Even though conventional wisdom suggests Dan Quinn is the favorite to be named the next head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, they are exploring various options before making a decision.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Seahawks will have their second interview with Carolina Panthers defensive end Ejiro Evero on Saturday.
Evero is one of four candidates scheduled to have a second interview with Seahawks management. Quinn, Patrick Graham and Mike Kafka are the others. Raheem Morris was also on the list, but he got hired by the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday.

Offensive coordinators Bobby Slowik of the Houston Texans and Ben Johnson of the Detroit Lions are scheduled to have their first interviews with the club at some point.
Slowik's virtual interview was reportedly set to take place on Jan. 21, but it's unclear if the two sides have met. Johnson was scheduled to have a virtual interview on Jan. 20.
ESPN's Jeff Darlington reported on SportsCenter earlier this week (h/t Marlowe Alter of the Detroit Free Press) that it's a "pretty foregone conclusion" Johnson will end up with the Washington Commanders.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Quinn remains in the mix for both the Seahawks and Commanders jobs. The 53-year-old has past ties to Seattle from his four seasons as an assistant over two stints on Pete Caroll's staff, including two years as defensive coordinator in 2013 and 2014.
Evero also had interviews with the Falcons and Panthers about their head-coaching vacancies earlier this offseason. He spent this past season as Carolina's defensive coordinator after serving the same role for the Denver Broncos in 2022.
The 43-year-old Evero has been an assistant in the NFL since 2011. He began his career on Jim Harbaugh's staff with the San Francisco 49ers, where he remained for five years before taking over as defensive quality control coach for the Green Bay Packers in 2016.
Sean McVay hired Evero to be the safeties coach for the Los Angeles Rams in 2017. He eventually got promoted to secondary coach and passing game coordinator during their Super Bowl season in 2021.
The Seahawks are looking for a new head coach for the first time in 14 years. Pete Carroll was moved to a front office role after the team finished 9-8 and missed the playoffs this season.
