Suns' Kevin Durant Earns $1.2M Contract Bonus After 2024 NBA All-Star Selection
Kevin Durant's 14th All-Star appearance came with a lofty contract bonus.
Per ESPN's Bobby Marks, Durant earned a $1.2 million bonus for being selected to the All-Star game. According to Marks, the bonus likely came because Durant was selected in 2023.
The All-Star game selection marks his 14th in a row. The only two seasons where he wasn't an All-Star were his first and second seasons in the league. Durant's 14 All-Star selections are tied for the seventh-most in NBA history.
While he has been selected 14 times, Durant missed the last three All-Star Games due to injuries. This year, he'll be looking to get back on the court for the All-Star game and perhaps earn the MVP award, like he did in 2012 and 2019.
This season, Durant is putting up 29.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game as the Phoenix Suns sit in fifth place in the Western Conference at 26-18.
The 2024 All-Star Game will take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Feb. 18.
