Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce Break Tom Brady, Gronk's NFL Playoff TD Record

No quarterback and pass-catcher duo has combined for more playoff touchdowns in NFL history than Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and tight end connected for a touchdown in the second quarter of their Divisional Round playoff game against the Buffalo Bills and tied some legendary company in the process:

It is notable that two quarterback and tight end combinations top this list and are ahead of even the great Jerry Rice and Joe Montana.

Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski played 22 playoff games together for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while Sunday was the 16th together for Mahomes and Kelce. That means the Kansas City combination still has a few games left to continue adding to their record.

However, Brady and Gronkowski still have bragging rights when it comes to the most important stat of Super Bowl trophies.

Gronkowski is a four-time Super Bowl champion, while Brady captured seven Lombardi Trophies during his unbelievable career. Mahomes and Kelce each have two Super Bowl titles, which they won together.

Kelce may not have many years remaining in his career at 34 years old, but Mahomes is just 28 and figures to be one of the best quarterbacks in the league for the foreseeable future. Catching Brady's seven championship rings may be too much to ask, but Gronkowski's mark of four is certainly in play.
