Joe Brady, Raheem Morris Interview for Falcons HC Job Amid Belichick, Harbaugh Rumors

The Atlanta Falcons have conducted head coaching interviews with Buffalo Bills interim offensive coordinator Joe Brady as well as Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, the team announced on Saturday.

The Falcons have been diligent throughout their search for a new head coach, meeting with several notable coaches in addition to Morris and Brady. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on Friday that Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has already interviewed for the position and will have a second interview with the team "next week."

Atlanta has also interviewed legendary head coach Bill Belichick twice, as team owner Arthur Blank "desperately" wants to hire the former New England Patriots coach, per Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports.

Brady has also impressed throughout the second half of the year, as he was promoted to offensive coordinator once Ken Dorsey was fired on Nov. 14. The 34-year-old was originally Buffalo's quarterbacks coach prior to the move. He's also spent time as the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers from 2020 through 2021 and was LSU's passing game coordinator during the Tigers' undefeated 2019 campaign.

In the eight games since Brady took over, the Bills have averaged 27.5 points each week. The success has continued into the playoffs, as Buffalo easily dispatched the Pittsburgh Steelers by the final score of 31-17 in the wild-card round.

Morris has served as Los Angeles' defensive coordinator since the 2021 season, which concluded with the franchise's second Super Bowl victory. Although the Rams ended the 2023 regular season with the No. 19 scoring defense in the NFL, the improved play by their defense in the second half of the year helped propel the team to the postseason.

Following Los Angeles' Week 10 bye, the defense allowed more than 25 points in a game just once throughout the remainder of the year. This includes the Rams' playoff defeat, a narrow 24-23 loss at the hands of the Detroit Lions. Morris has also interviewed with the Washington Commanders regarding the team's opening at head coach, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
