JJ McCarthy earned his national championship ring just a few weeks ago, but soon he'll be adding another ring.

The Michigan quarterback announced on Instagram on Friday that he and his girlfriend, Katya Kuropas, are engaged. Now, it won't be too long before McCarthy is wearing his wedding ring next to his championship ring.

It's safe to say the month of January has been a good one for McCarthy. He began the New Year with a thrilling overtime win over Alabama in the College Football Semifinal before following it up with a win over Washington in the CFP title game.

In the win over the Huskies, McCarthy had 140 passing yards. In the semifinal matchup with Alabama, he threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns.

McCarthy has already notched a championship and an engagement, but he still has another big goal he's looking to achieve this year by getting drafted. He announced on Jan. 14 that he would forgo his senior season and declare for the 2024 NFL Draft.

McCarthy is considered to be the No. 99 overall prospect on Bleacher Report's 2024 NFL Draft Big Board and is the No. 7 quarterback on the Big Board.

McCarthy threw for 2,991 yards and 22 touchdowns this season while throwing just four interceptions. While Michigan's offense relied heavily on Blake Corum and the run game, McCarthy proved himself as a vital part of the Wolverines' success this year.

McCarthy will soon be headed to the NFL, but for now, he'll celebrate his championship and his engagement.
