WWE 2K24: Cody Rhodes' Cover, Release Date, New Matches and Gameplay Trailer Revealed

Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley were named the cover stars for the WWE 2K24 standard and deluxe editions on Monday.

Rhodes will grace the cover of the WWE 2K24 standard edition, marking the first time he has been featured on a WWE video game cover during his career. Meanwhile, two women will share the deluxe edition cover for the first time in WWE 2K history with Belair and Ripley earning the honor.

Rhodes noted that his status as a WWE 2K cover athlete is "very, very close" to the top of the list of accolades he hopes to accomplish during his second stint with WWE, while Belair called it "an incredible milestone."

A Forty Years of WrestleMania edition will also be made available to WWE fans and gamers, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the biggest spectacle in sports entertainment.

The Forty Years of WrestleMania edition cover features art of many of the most influential Superstars in WrestleMania history, including The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Rock, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, John Cena, Becky Lynch, Bret Hart, Charlotte Flair, Roman Reigns and Belair.

One of the biggest additions to WWE 2K24 is the 2K Showcase...of the Immortals mode. In the newest WWE 2K Showcase, gamers will get to relive many of the biggest and most memorable moments in WrestleMania history.

Fans can play through classic matches and watch actual footage of the legendary bouts while also unlocking extra content along the way.

Four new match types have been added to WWE 2K24 as well in the form of ambulance matches, casket matches, gauntlet matches and matches that feature a special guest referee, the latter of which was a fan favorite in past WWE video games.

MyGM, MyFaction, MyRise, Universe Mode and the Creation Suite all return in WWE 2K24 with various upgrades, and 2K is also promising a stacked roster featuring current Superstars and legends.

All editions of WWE 2K24 will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam.

The deluxe edition and Forty Years of WrestleMania edition will be released worldwide on March 5, followed by the standard edition and standard cross-gen digital edition on March 8.
