USHL's Chicago Steel to Wear Taylor Swift-Inspired 'Eras Night' Jerseys
Taylor Swift's influence has stretched beyond the game of football and into the world of hockey.
The USHL's Chicago Steel announced Thursday that they are hosting an "Eras Night" in February and will wear Swift-inspired Eras Tour-themed jerseys
The jerseys, which are modeled after the merchandise Swift sells at her Eras Tour concerts, "feature images from different eras of Chicago Steel hockey including championship moments, top players and other memories from the club's 24-year history," the team said in a press release.
They also feature images related to some of Swift's albums, including a snake, a clock set to midnight, a red scarf, diamonds and even cowboy boots. Additionally, each of Swift's album names are written on the sleeves and the wrist area of the jerseys features friendship bracelets with "Chicago" and "Steel" on them.
"We wanted a promotion where fans could feel 22," Steel President Dan Lehv said, referencing some of Swift's most iconic songs. "If it doesn't work, Don't Blame Me. If you do, it's fine - my tears ricochet."
The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game with bidding beginning at $150. All proceeds will benefit the Geneva Academic Foundation.
