POSITIVES
— Good size, frame and length for an NFL edge.
— Decent burst off the line to put pressure on offensive tackles vertically.
— Flashed a solid double-hand swipe move that he had a few wins with this season.
— Good pass-rush motor.
— Takes on blocks with his hands as a run defender and rides the offensive lineman or tight end's hip to help close the gap with man on the back side of zone runs.
NEGATIVES
— Plays high and with little knee bend.
— Pad level and a lack of strength will lead to him getting displaced against offensive linemen on the front side of runs.
— Timing with his hands is off when rushing the passer more often than not, leading to blockers latching onto him and stopping his moves.
— Isn't twitchy as a pass-rusher and lacks the strength to win with power.
— A little stiff to bend and turn a tight corner at the top of the rush.

OVERALL
Braiden McGregor certainly looks the part of an NFL edge-rusher coming off the bus. He has good size and room for growth on his frame that teams could be intrigued by.
On the field, McGregor has a few solid traits that stand out, including his get-off and decent hand-swipe move as a pass-rusher. However, he lacks a wow factor that could be his calling card in the NFL.
McGregor was a starter on a national championship-winning team and has a frame that NFL clubs might want to work with, so there's a chance he'll get drafted in the later rounds. But he likely won't be much more than a rotational or backup player during his NFL career.
