B/R AM: Rugby Star's NFL Pivot

Meet 22-year-old Welsh (former) rugby star Louis Rees-Zammit, who became relevant to American sports on Tuesday.

He announced yesterday he's leaving rugby to pursue an NFL career.

• Rees-Zammit, who was on Gloucester Rugby and played in the World Cup last year, is 'by far the biggest rugby star' to try this, according to ESPN

• He's apparently faster on a rugby field (24.2 MPH) than Tyreek Hill on a football field (23.2 MPH) 

Rees-Zammit is entering the NFL's International Player Pathway Program, which Jordan Mailata and Jakob Johnson have recently used to reach the league.

He's eligible for the 2024 draft. Seventh-round flyer, anyone?
