NFL Rumors: Rams' Morris to Meet with Panthers, Commanders, Seahawks, Chargers for HC
Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris will interview with the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday as part of their coaching search, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport noted Morris is slated to speak with the Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks as well. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on Jan. 11 the Atlanta Falcons had also requested an interview.
Morris has spent the last three seasons leading the Rams defense.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
The raw numbers from this year aren't necessarily flattering. Los Angeles was 20th in yards allowed per game (337.9) and 19th in scoring defense (22.2 points). The team also finished 22nd in defense DVOA (defense-adjusted value over average), per FTN Fantasy.
But the Rams have experienced a lot of roster turnover since their Super Bowl triumph in 2021. Last offseason alone saw A'Shawn Robinson, Troy Hill, Nick Scott and Taylor Rapp leave in free agency, while Jalen Ramsey was traded to the Miami Dolphins.
Morris did pretty well all things considered.
The 47-year-old also has head-coaching experience in the NFL, which will aid in his candidacy. He was in charge of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three seasons, a run that included a 10-6 finish in 2010, and he was the interim replacement for Dan Quinn in Atlanta in 2020.
Given the fact he's on the radar of multiple teams, Morris is clearly a respected coach around the league.
