TMZ: Chiefs' Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift Have 'Absolutely No Engagement in the Works'

Recent rumors that Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift are on the verge of getting engaged are reportedly far from the truth.

According to TMZ, sources close to Kelce and Swift said "there's absolutely no engagement in the works between" the two of them.

Page Six had reported on Jan. 11 that the celebrity couple was planning to get engaged this summer.

However, TMZ noted that there's some doubt Kelce and Swift's relationship even lasts that long, as "some folks on the inside of this don't think it'll go the distance." It was stated that "some members of their inner circles" see them as still being in the honeymoon phase with no indications as to whether they will "ever advance past the dating stage."

In February, Swift is set to resume her international tour that will have her overseas for several months, so that will surely test their relationship. Kelce will be in the offseason soon after that, so it's possible that he will join her in her travels.

It remains to be seen if the two of them will eventually make it to the altar, but it's clear that it won't be happening any time soon.
