Packers vs. Cowboys: Daily Fantasy Sleepers, Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings

Joe TanseyJan 14, 2024

The Dallas Cowboys were unbeatable at home in the NFL regular season, and if that carries over into wild-card weekend, the game script against the Green Bay Packers seems fairly clear.

Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb are expected to lead the Cowboys offense, which will lead to them being the two most popular daily fantasy football picks from the NFC battle.

Green Bay will likely play from behind at AT&T Stadium, and if that is the case, Jordan Love and a few of his pass-catchers set up for an intriguing DFS stack.

The Packers are the better team to find sleepers from because of their potential game script and injury issues. A.J. Dillon is listed as doubtful and Christian Watson is questionable for Sunday's clash.

Love may have to dig deep down the depth chart to find players to beat the Dallas secondary, and if you pick the right ones, you could be in for a ton of DFS success in single-game and multi-game contests on FanDuel and DraftKings.

Start with Dak Prescott & CeeDee Lamb

You should not overcomplicate the start of your DFS roster build for Packers-Cowboys.

CeeDee Lamb had 135 receptions, 1,749 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns this season.

Lamb is Prescott's No. 1 target and he should be thrown to on multiple occasions each series on Sunday afternoon.

Lamb is well worth the $12,200 salary on DraftKings and $10,000 salary in FanDuel contests because of his expected high workload.

Prescott is the natural stack partner with Lamb and that should lead to high roster percentages for both players.

They are the chalk plays from Sunday's first game, but if you do not have them in your lineup, it could cost you a high spot on contest leaderboards.

Ride with Aaron Jones

The Packers should have a heavy reliance on Aaron Jones.

The veteran running back is in line for a ton of touches with Dillon listed as doubtful and because he has the most playoff experience among Green Bay's offensive skill position players.

Jones appeared in five playoff games in his career. He had at least 12 carries in four of those contests and he scored on four occasions.

Jones also caught nine passes on 10 targets in his last postseason start. He has 20 catches on 25 targets across his playoff career.

The 29-year-old enters the postseason with three straight 100-yard rushing games and with nine targets in that stretch.

Love will rely heavily on Jones to settle into some sort of offensive rhythm in the first quarter, and that should make the Green Bay running back a better DFS option than Tony Pollard.

Pollard will be active inside the Dallas offense, but he likely will not be the top fantasy point producer on his roster because of Lamb's season-long success.

A three-man stack of Lamb, Prescott and Jones gives you $17,000 in DFS salary left to fill the other two spots in single-game DFS contests on both FanDuel and DraftKings. That should be plenty of salary money to spend on sleeper plays.

Look to Green Bay's Passing Attack For Sleepers

Green Bay's pass-game production may be dependent on Watson's status.

Watson has not played since December 3 due to a hamstring injury. He could be a difference-maker on some drives, but he may not be pushed on every single drive.

Since Watson's injury, Love developed a chemistry with Bo Melton as the go-to guy across the middle.

The second-year wide out from Rutgers had six catches for 105 yards in Week 17 and then five catches for 62 yards in Week 18.

Melton carries the lowest DFS salary among the sleeper options on the Packers roster, and he could be well worth the selection.

Dontayvion Wicks had six catches in two of his last three appearances and Malik Heath had three catches in Week 18. They could also be used as depth options on DFS rosters on Sunday.

Green Bay's tight end pairing of Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft make for intriguing picks too, but with Musgrave's return, the production between the two players is more difficult to predict.
