Tyreek Hill: Dolphins 'Can't Be a Bunch of Front Runners' Post-Playoff Loss to Chiefs

Tyreek Hill believes his team is capable of winning a Super Bowl, but he says some things need to change next season.

The Miami Dolphins fell short in their wild-card matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs 26-7 Saturday, marking a second-straight wild-card exit. For Hill, he believes the offense needs to step up in big moments, per the Palm Beach Post's Joe Schad.

"This is the right group of people to win a chip," Hill said. "We have to put together drives to help the defense out. We can't just be a bunch of front runners."

Miami's offense, which was dominant all season, struggled on Saturday. The Dolphins had just 264 yards of total offense and found the endzone just one time. Moving forward, the offense will need to be consistent if Miami wants to be a serious contender.

While the Dolphins put together a solid 11-6 season, they struggled against the league's best teams. They had just one win against a playoff team this year, beating the Dallas Cowboys 22-20 in Week 16. One of the common denominators in Miami's losses was a struggling offense. The Dolphins had 20 or fewer points in five of their six losses this season, while they averaged 29.2 points per game this year, which was the second-highest total in the NFL.

Hill struggled in Miami's losses this season as well. Despite leading the NFL in receiving yards this season with 1,799 yards, he failed to reach the 100-yard mark in all six of the Dolphins' regular-season losses. He had 62 yards and Miami's only touchdown on Saturday.

The Dolphins showed promise this season and they still have plenty of room to grow — quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was playing in his first playoff game on Saturday — but Hill's concerns about the team being front runners are valid, and they will look to adrdess those concerns this offseason.
