2024 NFL Draft Order: Updated Selection List After Saturday's Wild Card Results
With two AFC Wild Card Round matchups now complete, the 2024 NFL draft selection order is a little more clear.
The Houston Texans defeated the Cleveland Browns 45-14 in the first game of Saturday's slate at NRG Stadium to clinch a berth in the AFC Divisional Round for the first time since the 2019 campaign.
The Kansas City Chiefs followed it up with a 26-7 win over the Miami Dolphins at Arrowhead Stadium to reach the divisional round for the sixth straight season.
Here's a small recap of those matchups as well as a look into the updated draft selection order.

Texans 45, Browns 14
The Texans couldn't have made a better selection in the 2023 NFL draft than C.J. Stroud.
The rookie continues to perform like he's been in the NFL for years, and he came up clutch again in Saturday's 45-14 win over the Browns.
The 22-year-old completed 16 of 21 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions, finding Nico Collins, Dalton Schultz and Brevin Jordan for scores. Running back Devin Singletary also rushed in for a touchdown.
While the offense was solid, Houston's defense was perhaps more impressive, picking off Browns quarterback Joe Flacco twice in the third quarter to take full control of the game.
While Houston is moving on to the divisional round, the Browns will be preparing for the 2024 campaign. Considering Cleveland reached the playoffs with Flacco under center, there's no reason they can't do so again in 2024 with a healthy Deshaun Watson.
Chiefs 26, Dolphins 7
In subzero temperatures at Arrowhead Stadium, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs prevailed over the Dolphins 26-7.
While it was a wildly disappointing game from Miami's high-powered offense—Tua Tagovailoa threw for just 199 yards—the Chiefs put together a strong performance as Mahomes completed 23 of 41 passes for 262 yards and one touchdown, in addition to rushing for 41 yards.
Rashee Rice was the veteran's top target, and he caught eight passes for 130 yards and one touchdown in what was his best performance of the year.
A shocking moment in the game came in the third quarter when Mahomes' helmet cracked on a hit by Dolphins safety DeShon Elliott. The veteran wasn't injured and remained in the game, though he didn't appear to have been flagged for a concussion screening.
While Kansas City is moving on to the divisional round, Miami now faces questions about how it can improve entering the 2024 campaign.
