
Paul George, James Harden Impress NBA Fans as Clippers Beat Kevin Durant, Suns
Paul George and James Harden excelled during the Los Angeles Clippers' 138-111 win over the Phoenix Suns on Monday night.
George finished with 25 points, with 15 of them coming in the first half alone. He added seven rebounds and a steal while connecting on nine of his 17 field goal attempts. George has now scored at least 20 points in 11 straight games.
After the Suns cut the deficit to seven points with just over 10 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Clippers responded with a 15-0 run to put the game away. The team as a whole delivered a tremendous offensive performance, recording 32 assists compared to 12 turnovers.
NBA fans were impressed with George's efficient night, as Los Angeles has now won six of its past seven games.
Harden continued to shine as the Clippers' primary initiator, dishing out 10 assists in 28 minutes of action. He chipped in with 19 points of his own, hitting three of his four attempts from behind the arc.
The former MVP has now racked up 66 assists in his last six appearances.
Kevin Durant put up a valiant effort in the loss, scoring 30 points on 58.8 percent shooting to go along with seven rebounds and two assists. However, the Suns struggled to crash the glass on both ends of the floor. Phoenix secured 25 rebounds as a team compared to Los Angeles grabbing 44 boards.
The Clippers moved to 23-13, while the Suns fell to 19-18.
