Lakers' LeBron James, Anthony Davis Praised by NBA Fans in Win Over Kawhi, Clippers

Doric SamJan 8, 2024

Thanks to strong performances by star players LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Lakers ended their four-game losing streak with a 106-103 win over the rival Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.

James scored a game-high 25 points and added eight rebounds and seven assists in the victory. Davis was a force on both ends of the floor and contributed 22 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and a block.

The Lakers needed every bit of production out of James and Davis, as the Clippers had a chance to force overtime but Norman Powell's three-pointer rimmed out as time expired. Both James and Davis made clutch plays when it mattered the most.

Fans on social media were satisfied with what they saw from the Lakers' star duo as they ended their skid on Sunday:

The Lakers' recent losing streak appeared to have been taking a toll on the team's morale, so Sunday's win should work wonders for the team's confidence going forward. Los Angeles had stretches where it played excellent team defense spearheaded by Davis, so it should look to continue to show that effort and energy against future opponents.

The Lakers (18-19) will look to keep the momentum going on Monday when they host the Toronto Raptors (15-21)
