Colts Ripped by Fans for Blowing Playoff Hopes as Jonathan Taylor, IND Lose to Texans

Jonathan Taylor's heroics weren't enough to power the Indianapolis Colts past the Houston Texas on Saturday night, losing by the final score of 23-19. The Colts have officially been eliminated from the playoffs.

Taylor did everything he could to prevent the loss, racking up a season-high 188 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries. This included a 49-yard score that tied the game at 14-14 after Indianapolis faced an eight-point deficit at halftime. Taylor briefly left the contest in the second half due to a heel injury and was listed as questionable before returning during the fourth quarter.

The Colts especially struggled on third down, converting one of their 11 chances. As Indianapolis trailed by six points with just over a minute remaining and the ball at Houston's 15-yard line, quarterback Gardner Minshew's pass was dropped by running back Tyler Goodson on fourth down.

Colts fans were agitated with the team's performance on both sides of the ball in the fourth quarter.

Indianapolis finished the season with a record of 9-8. Despite a heartbreaking end to the year, the Colts' future is still bright with standout rookie Anthony Richardson set to return as the team's starting quarterback for the 2024 season.
