National Signing Day 2024: Predictions for Top Recruits Before CFP Championship
The 2023 College Football season has nearly concluded, with the Michigan Wolverines and Washington Huskies set to battle for a National Championship Monday.
However, that doesn't mean that major news surrounding the sport is stopping anytime soon. The transfer portal, bowl season and potential conference realignment may have overshadowed recruiting during the early signing period but the decisions that still need to be made can provide a ripple effect for the landscape of the sport.
Many 2025 players are inching closer to decisions and most 2024's already are set on where their collegiate careers will begin. However, some high-end talent from the 2024 class is not locked in yet.
Here's a look at some players to watch ahead of this year's National Championship.
Gatlin Bair, WR
1 of 3
The Michigan Wolverines are aiming to win a title for the first time since 1997. While that will be the focus for the time being, winning a recruiting battle is also of significant importance.
Gatlin Bair, an intriguing four-star wide receiver from Burley, Idaho, is a prime uncommitted target for the Wolverines. He is projected to sign with Michigan, per 247 Sports, but also has interest from Oregon. He was formerly committed to Boise State, but it appears the Big Ten is his next destination.
He has a 6'1", 194-lb frame and is considered to be the No. 36 overall player, No. 10 WR and the top overall player from Idaho. He had 129 catches for 2,272 yards and 29 touchdowns in his high school career.
Prediction: Michigan
Amaree Williams, Edge

The Florida State Seminoles had a disappointing end to a successful 2023 season but winning a crucial recruiting battle could be promising for the program's future.
Amaree Williams is a four-star, edge defender with a 6'4", 215-lb frame. He hails from Florida and is the No. 186 player nationally, No. 9 athlete and the No. 22 overall player from Florida, per 247 Sports.
He has warm interest from Florida State, per 247, but also has been linked to Alabama and Auburn.
Prediction: Florida State
Trajen Greco, Safety
3 of 3
The Missouri Tigers may be looking to bolster the future of the secondary.
Trajen Greco, a four-star safety from Georgia, remains available but the Tigers are currently the front-runner, per 247 Sports. He has a 6', 182-lb frame and is the No. 247th player nationally, No. 24 safety and the No. 30 player from Georgia.
He is projected to commit to Missouri, per Steve Wiltfong of 247, but Georgia Tech does appear to be alive in the race. Appalachian State, Austin Peay and Boston College were also involved in the process.
