NFL Futures Betting Odds 2023-24: Best Picks for Super Bowl 58 Entering Week 18

Michelle BrutonJan 5, 2024

We've reached the final week of the NFL season, and it's shaping up to be a doozy.

Five NFC teams have clinched playoff berths: the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams.

In the AFC, four teams have clinched: the Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs.

Overall, five spots are up for grabs in Week 18, and 10 teams are still in contention. Somewhat amazingly, though the Super Bowl futures odds heading into Week 18 look similar to last week at this time, with the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens seeing the highest odds to win it all, the team with the third-highest championship odds hasn't technically clinched a playoff berth yet.

Let's take a closer look at the Super Bowl futures odds as they stand ahead of Week 18.

San Francisco 49ers

Super Bowl odds: +220

After a 27-10 win over the Washington Commanders last week, the 49ers' Super Bowl odds remain consistent moving in to the final week of the season.

At 12-4, San Francisco has the best record in the NFC and the second-best record in the league, having clinched the conference's No. 1 seed and a first-round bye following their Week 17 win and the Philadelphia Eagles' 35-31 upset loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

There are still too many moving parts to narrow down who the 49ers' opponent will be in the divisional round. Given that their Week 18 opponent and division rival, the Los Angeles Rams, have also clinched a playoff berth, and both teams will be resting several of their starters, the results of this week's game aren't likely to significantly affect the 49ers' Super Bowl odds or standing as the favorites to win it all.

Baltimore Ravens

Super Bowl odds: +300

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson all but sewed up his NFL MVP bid in Week 17 with the team's statement 56-19 win over the Miami Dolphins.

With the victory, Baltimore improved to 13-3, the NFL's best record. Naturally, they've locked down the top seed and a first-round bye even with a game to go. Their opponent, the 9-7 Pittsburgh Steelers, are fighting for their playoff lives, but the Ravens have nothing to play for, so expect them to rest their starters.

As is the case with the 49ers in the NFC, barring a major injury prior to the divisional round of the playoffs, the Ravens' Super Bowl odds aren't likely to shift in the next week.

Buffalo Bills

Super Bowl odds: +800

Ahead of Week 17, the Dolphins were in this position, with +800 odds and an 11-4 record. An ignominious, 37-point loss to the Baltimore Ravens, however, saw Miami's championship odds take a tumble to +1300, now only the seventh-highest of all the teams still in contention.

With Miami's fall from grace, Vegas has turned its attention to the Bills. A four-game win streak has helped the Bills climb to 10-6 heading into the final week of the regular season, when they'll play none other than the Dolphins.

With a win, Buffalo will clinch the AFC East. It can clinch a playoff berth generally with a tie, as well as with some help from Pittsburgh (loss or tie), Jacksonville (loss or tie) or Houston or Indianapolis (loss or tie). The Dolphins, however, would claim the AFC East for themselves with a win or tie.

The Week 18 game between these two division foes will have major implications for Super Bowl futures odds.
