Under Armour All-American Game 2012: The Top 10 Prospects in the Game

Randy ChambersJun 7, 2018

While everybody is caught up in the hype of all the bowl games, there is a game this Thursday that will host the future of college football. It's called the Under Armour All-American Game, and it will feature tons of the top prospects in the country.

The top high school players will take the field one last time and show the country what they have to offer. Many will also make their commitments to the schools for which they will end up playing football.

This game should be very exciting and will tell a lot about which teams will be in better shape, as several programs will land some top players.

While every player in this game is extremely talented, here are the top 10 prospects that will be participating.

You can look at both rosters in their entirety here.

S Eddie Williams

1 of 10

Team: White

Eddie Williams is a versatile player. He could play safety, linebacker or even wide receiver at the college level.

He has the body to be a big target on offense at 6'3", 205 pounds, but he has shown he is a physical player that lays out punishing hits as well. Either way, he's very athletic and should be a very effective player.

He's verbally committed to Alabama.

DB Ronald Darby

2 of 10

Team: White

Darby can play either running back or defensive back. Either way, he's going to be a playmaker and a threat in the return game.

He has ridiculous speed that very few players on the football field can match. At times, it appears he's not even trying. This kid is going to be a very exciting player to watch.

He's verbally committed to Notre Dame.

DE Mario Edwards

3 of 10

Team: White

Mario Edwards is one of the top defensive ends in this year's recruiting class. He is a tough player, who just generates relentless pressure on opposing offenses.

He has awesome strength and will never give up on the play. He also has a well-rounded amount of moves and techniques to put on opposing offensive linemen.

He's verbally committed to Florida State.

WR Cyrus Jones

4 of 10

Team: White

Jones has the potential to play either running back or wide receiver, but he will likely be the latter. At 5'10", 185 pounds, he simply doesn't have the body to be a full-time running back.

He has ridiculous speed and is the ultimate deep threat. Get this guy in the open field, and there's a great chance he is taking it the distance.

He's still considering Alabama, Auburn, Notre Dame and Ohio State, among others.

WR Shaq Roland

5 of 10

Team: White

The best way to describe Roland is: He's an athlete. He has the ability to play either wide receiver or possibly safety in college.

He simply makes plays, has extremely strong hands and is a downfield threat with his speed.

He's verbally committed to South Carolina.

DT Malcom Brown

6 of 10

Team: Black

Brown is arguably the top defensive tackle prospect out there. At 6'2", 280 pounds, he runs the 40 in about 4.8 seconds.

He's fast, physical and doesn't stop playing until the whistle blows. He never gives up and will be a great addition to any defensive line.

He's verbally committed to the Texas Longhorns.

OT Andrus Peat

7 of 10

Team: Black

Andrus Peat is one of the top offensive lineman prospects at 6'7", 305 pounds. He is a great pass protector and has a motor that refuses to quit.

This guy is the real deal and has the type of body you want your tackles to have. Whichever school lands him will receive a late Christmas gift.

He's considering Nebraska, Stanford and USC, among others.

DT Eddie Goldman

8 of 10

Team: Black

Goldman is the best defensive tackle in the country and is a five-star recruit on every site.

He is extremely interested in Florida State, but he grew up a Miami Hurricanes fan. Goldman said that, despite the ongoing issues Miami is going through, it's still a very strong possibility.

At 6'4", 315 pounds, he has great size and is extremely quick off the ball.

S Landon Collins

9 of 10

Team: Black

Collins is the No. 2 safety, according to Rivals.com, and he is expected to make his decision at the Under Armour All-American Game. He's already had visits with Alabama, LSU and recently Texas.

You have to consider the Tigers the favorite, considering he lives right down the street from them.

With the way he loves to blitz and make plays attacking the football, he could be another Tyrann Mathieu for Les Miles.

DE Noah Spence

10 of 10

Team: Black

Noah Spence has already committed to Ohio State, and he will make Buckeye fans extremely happy.

He's 6'3", 240 pounds and is an absolute beast.

He's very athletic and always seems to be making plays on the quarterback or on the running back in the backfield. He will inflict pain on several quarterbacks in the Big Ten for the next few years.
